RED
Red Cardinal, Long Pine Key, Everglades National Park. Everywhere I have traveled, where Cardinals live, I would just catch fleeting moments of them. Usually, they were dashing off somewhere out of sight, or they were too high, or in the brush too thick. I felt as if I would never be able to catch a decent shot of one. One day, as I had just about given up on the idea, this one flew into a bush right in front of me. I couldn’t get to my camera fast enough. I quickly adjusted my settings just as this beautiful male moved out of the thick of the bush and in perfect line with my camera. I just kept taking photos as I was grinning ear to ear.
