CRY FOR HELP!
Snowy Egrets, Huntington Bay, California. One of my sons and I were in his double kayak at low tide searching for shore birds to photograph. We came upon these two egrets fishing, and wow the fish that this one caught was so large we didn’t think it would be able to eat it. Soon this Egret dropped the fish, and the other one swiftly moved in to retrieve it. If you look closely at the fish, doesn't it appear to be yelling “Help!” Shortly after this a seagull swooped in, knocked the fish out of the Egret’s mouth, and took of with its stolen meal.
